Reasons to Be a Solver: Build Skills

On Global Crowd we are proud to be launching our #ReasonsToBeASolver series! Across a series of blog posts, we will investigate the best reasons to become a Solver and put your mind to work in a challenge. Whether you're already an experienced Solver or just thinking about getting involved in innovation, this series will be full of advice and helpful hints!

It's no secret that solving challenges are an amazing way to build skills that you can apply to other projects at work or in education. There's no CV boost quite like a challenge! It shows others that you are committed, passionate, and willing to think outside the box. Participating in challenges related to your passions can also help to demonstrate your interests outside of work and how you like to spend your free time.

Here are some more insights from Solvers about the skills they've gained from participating in innovation challenges:

"The experience always transforms you into someone more skilled and knowledgeable."

"These impossible challenges make you stretch you knowledge and question why these limitations exist."

"This platform has not only given me an opportunity to successfully apply my skills, but it has helped me learn."

"By solving such problems, I feel a real pleasure from scientific creativity and for me, this gives the opportunity to realize myself not only as a solver, but as a scientist also."

So what do you have to lose? Even just participating in a challenge is a great way to build your skills--you don't have to be a challenge winner to make a difference and strengthen your skills. Keep an eye on our website to see what new challenges are coming up that you can participate in.
